The Farm

Set on a 500-acre working Hereford cattle property, the farm offers a genuine experience of rural life, with space to breath, explore and reconnect. Everyday brings something different, depending on the season and what’s happening around the farm.

You might like to feed the small farm animals and collect the freshly laid eggs. Pick your own oranges and enjoy a glass of fresh juice. The farm dogs are always keen for a pat, and younger guests love helping with simple daily routines.

There’s lots to see and do at the farm, especially for our children, who can play in the wide open spaces and learn all about farm animals and where our food comes from.

Bush Walking & Bird Watching

A guided Hiking Tour is a great way to explore the 500 acres of Ashmar Farm. Enjoy a relaxing or strenuous walk with Kathy our guide, where you will explore our ancient Cycads. Look out for the kangaroos and the native wildlife, you might be lucky enough to even spot a platypus or koala. Bring your binoculars to enjoy the bird life.

A picnic lunch is provided with an opportunity to sit, relax, enjoy the view and breath in the fresh country air.

What our guests say

Dear Gayle August 2025

It was our families first time here at your Farm stay and what a fantastic time we all had, from collecting eggs, to feeding all the animals on your property.

Gayle, you were very accommodating and the cottage had everything we needed.

We loved bumping into you on our exploring around the farm and learning all about farm life !!

We will be returning again soon.
